Chefs, Cooks, All-rounder Food Service staff Roles

Ipoh Town is a Malaysian restaurant and/or food outlet situated in the heart of Sydney CBD. All Rounder Food Service Staff Roles and Responsibilities
· Uphold the Ipoh Town brand by giving exceptional customer experiences for every single one of our guests;
· Be a team player and cooperate effectively with both the kitchen department and management team;
· Ensure company policies, procedures and production description are brought to life in the restaurant;
· Have excellent verbal communication skills;
· Be confident in running and supporting your team;
· Have experience in a fast pace environment;
· Have abilities to think on their feet and not afraid to problem solving issues;
· Washing Dishes and general cleaning; and
· Must have basic preparation of food skills set.

Required Skills
· Exceptional Food and Beverage services
· Ability to speak fluent English and advantage to be fluent in Mandarin
· Previous experience in running similar dining restaurant environment
· Drive sales through customer engagement and interaction
· RSA Certificate will be beneficial
· Food Safe Handling Knowledge are essential
· Immaculate presentation and communication skills
· Must have good time management and organisational skills
· Have Can Do Attitude
· Must have work rights

Kitchen Staff Roles and Responsibilities
· Responsible for developing menu and subsequent seasonal specials;
· Monitoring food cost;
· Ordering and receiving goods from suppliers, ensure all receiving of goods protocol are met in accordance to Company policy;
· Manage entire kitchen operations including working with kitchen staff and Front of House staff;
· Provide training and enforcing food safety and hygiene regulations;
· Assist in training kitchen staff;
· Collaborate with front of house staff to daily specials;
· Ensure storing of food complies to food safety standards, labelling of all food in storage;
· Assist in developing more efficient operational procedure; and
· Attend customer complaints and assist in solving complaint issues.

Essential skills:
· 3 years relevant experience in South-East Asian kitchens (preferably Malaysian/Singapore cuisine);
· Possess a good attitude & a team player;
· Trained in a western kitchen would be an advantage;
· Attention to detail and good problem solving skills;
· Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia, Indonesia, Mandarin Chinese would be an advantage;
· Must be a team player and able to work efficiently in a team environment
· Knowledgeable in Food Safety and preparation of Food
· Immaculate personal grooming and personal hygiene
· A mindset that focus on quality and consistency
